This is my very first blog and boy am I excited! Since moving here in January it has been full on trying to get to a place where we can start. It sounds crazy but there is so much to do just to make a place habitable and so much you miss when you fist fall in love with a property. We found Stokers early last year but hadn’t sold and there were so many other factors that at the time we thought it would never happen but a year later and hey presto, we are living the dream, well at least we are here. So over the coming months my plan is to keep you interested with progress and happenings on the property. Currently our plan is to open 2 of the bedrooms to the public on the ground floor, one with disabled facilities. The home is vast and will always be our home so to some extent is filled with our lives and experiences. We plan to repair the chook shed and get the orchard up and running, Tony has been busy clearing the property and reestablishing gardens while I have been concentrating on the house. The Lemon Myrtle orchard of 56 trees needs lots of work and coffee trees need tending. Lots to do!!!!! So first up is the fountain in the front yard, new pump, waterproofing etc… old but not out!...
