Making Marmalade

For years I have been making marmalade for our own pantry. It started almost 20 years ago when Tony wanted to eat marmalade like his father used to make. So I began the long search to create Stuart’s marmalade through trial and error. In the early days we had no guidance from Stuart when he was alive and in the 00’s when I was making it each year the subject was never broached. But 4 years ago Grace gave us a recipe she had copied from somewhere of pop’s jam and when Tony’s mother went in a nursing home we received a box of her recipes with, you guessed it a marmalade recipe. Also we received a bottle of the marmalade itself. Alas when it was opened it had gone off as it was so old an the air had got to it. But after much dedication and error I finally cracked the code! Now I know at this point I should supply the recipe but you know I worked hard to get this far so if you’d like to try the marmalade or buy a bottle you may have to visit Stokers Lodge, for a while anyway, but I can tell you for lovers of marmalade, it’s worth the...
