One of the big issues that we have faced here is signage. Not as simple as it seems mainly because whatever you do you have to be happy and live with for a long long time. Tony and I decided that at the front entrance we needed an impressive statement so decided to build Gabion Walls. The process has however taken some time, in fact these have been in the planning for 6 months but we had to finalize our logos and decide how these walls would look. So finally we have started, but not without hiccups! We dug foundations but hit tree stumps and I had to get a stump grinder, then construct the cages and assemble the gates ready to fill with stones. Gabions are beautiful walls and hope our will do the lodge proud. My brother is making our signs so I will post the finished walls in a later post. I hope you enjoy these pictures!
